Job summary

Vivo Healthcare in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to manage day-to-day housekeeping duties in our facility. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment and maintain an adequate linen supply to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of laundry area for sanitation, order and safety.
• Follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
• Copes with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks to keep the facility clean, safe, and sanitary.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job is to perform the day-to- day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with current federal,state, and local standards,guidelines, and regulations goverening our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or director of Housekeeping services to ensure that our facility is maintained in a clean,safe, and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents
