Poplar Springs Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia, seeks a FT EVS/Janitorial Floor Tech to maintain clean, sanitary, and safe rooms and furnishings in assigned areas. You will follow established policies and procedures and use approved methods to help meet health codes and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities include routine cleaning of windows, walls, floors, fixtures and furnishings; proper waste disposal; disinfecting contaminated areas and performing bacteriological surface cleaning.

Floor Tech will help to maintain clean, sanitary, attractive and safe rooms and furnishings in the assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures and utilizing approved methodology and solutions. To assist the department and hospital in meeting state and local health codes and hospital quality and accreditation standards through procedures which insure acceptable standards of quality and cleanliness. Duties include routine cleaning of windows, walls, floors, fixtures and furnishings; disposal of ordinary and contaminated refuse; disinfecting of contaminated areas; bacteriological surface cleaning; pertinent infection control procedures. Other duties as assigned.
