Job summary

Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health is seeking responsible, healthcare-oriented people to perform cleaning in a local mental health facility. The role is Full Time with rotating weekends and 1st shift.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash, cleaning windows, and maintaining cleanliness of common areas. Experience preferred but not required; strong attention to detail and time management are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required
• Experience buffing, stripping and waxing floors preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, floors, including hallways, lobbies, and stairwells
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
• Assist with special cleaning and minor maintenance projects
