Job summary

Vibra Healthcare's San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Fresno, CA, is seeking a PRN EVS Aide/Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will perform cleaning duties, follow infection control standards, and support patient care areas with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities include floor and surface cleaning, proper use of cleaning chemicals, and maintaining supplies. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of housekeeping experience is considered in lieu of education.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff and follow written instructions.
• Must present a professional image and adhere to safety standards.

San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Fresno, CA, is a 62 bed acute rehab hospital, providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. We are seeking a PRN EVS Aide/Housekeeper to join our team!

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the hospital physical environment meets established standards for cleanliness and sanitation, and meets all infection control and safety standards for the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the cleanliness of the floors and furniture using a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of experience as a housekeeper in lieu of education will be considered.
• Verbal ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff required.
• Must be able to write and understand written instructions.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One (1) year of housekeeping experience preferred. Previous healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
