Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay, OH seeks a full-time Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks, follow safety policies, and support regulatory standards.

Duties include hard floor care, linen handling, moving equipment, and documenting shifts. English proficiency, basic math, and strong service mindset are required. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English to follow directions and document assignments.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics for supply usage and time scheduling reports.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to apply growth and development understanding to tasks and safety considerations across ages.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a clean environment following EVS policies and Joint Commission standards.
• Performs hard floor care including stripping, waxing, and carpet/Upholstery cleaning as assigned.
• Moves furniture, equipment and supplies safely using proper body mechanics.
• Distributes and handles clean and soiled linen as assigned.
• Submits department documentation within established timeframes (daily/monthly sheets, time-off requests).
• Participates in trainings, in-services, process improvements and staff meetings.
