Job description

The EVS Heavy Porter reports to the EVS Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy-duty equipment, carpet shampooing, moving furniture, and other related tasks.

Position Responsibilities

• Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to designated areas.
• Scrub and buff tile and wood floors.
• Strip and wax tile floors.
• Maintain elevator cleanliness, including elevator tracks, polish doors, and clean mirrors.
• Clean escalator steps using an escalator cleaning machine.

Essential Functions

• Work in casino-related environments with exposure to secondhand smoke, noise, and stress due to fast-paced customer service.
• Complete training on operating a scissor lift.
• Lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Use required equipment and tools specific to the position.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience is preferred.
• Be knowledgeable in operating heavy equipment.
• Communicate effectively in English.
