Job description

Position: EVS Heavy Porter

The EVS Heavy Porter reports to the EVS Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy-duty equipment, carpet shampooing, moving furniture, and other related tasks.

Position Responsibilities

• Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned areas.
• Scrub and buff tile and wood floors.
• Strip and wax tile floors.
• Maintain elevator cleanliness, including elevator tracks, polish doors, and clean mirrors.
• Clean escalator steps using an escalator cleaning machine.

Essential Functions

• Work in an environment with casino-related factors such as secondhand smoke, noise, and customer service stress in a fast-paced setting.
• Complete training on the operation of a scissor lift.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds.
• Physically capable of using equipment and tools specific to the position.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
• Effective communication skills in English.
