Job summary

Harris Health is seeking an Environmental Services team member to support floor care maintenance across our facilities. You will follow routine schedules and respond to management requests for special cleaning tasks, while ensuring safe operation of floor care equipment.

Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining areas within Harris Health System facilities, working alone or in teams, and complying with safety standards while supporting weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; or six months recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience.
• Three years of hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience with at least one year of hard floor maintenance and restoration of commercial floor care.
• Heavy equipment operation experience including high-speed and low-speed machines, walk-behind and riding scrubbers, burnishers, extractors and wet vacuums.
• Must be able to operate floor care equipment safely and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all activities of the Environmental Services (EVS) department with primary duties being floor care maintenance.
• Follow routine floor care and cleaning schedules in addition to management’s requests for unscheduled tasks and project assignments.
• Duties may also include cleaning and/or maintaining all areas of Harris Health System facilities.
• Operate equipment safely to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors; work individually or in a team setting.
