Job summary

HHS Government Services LLC is seeking a Floor Technician at Fort Cavazos, TX to maintain and improve the appearance of all floor types across the facility. The role is full-time and requires adherence to safety procedures and proper use of floor-care chemicals and equipment.

Candidate should have at least one year of floor technician experience and be able to read, write, and understand English. The position involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing routine floor maintenance tasks

General Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for daily maintenance and appearance of all floor types throughout the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Place caution sign before any type of floor work is performed.
• Responsible for cleaning baseboards, corners, and kick plates.
• Follow HHS policies and procedures to perform floor care.
• Uses proper chemicals and equipment.
• Operates floor cleaning equipment.
• Remove burn marks from floor before leaving area.
• Move furniture and other objects as needed in order to complete floor care.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Return all moved items to their original place after floor care.
• Inspect your work before leaving areas.
• Turn off lights and secure doors behind you.
• Clean all equipment and return any keys to your immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a floor technician.
• Knowledge of all types of floor care, chemicals, and the proper way to use them.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.

Work Environment

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time, pull, push, bend, kneel, and stretch as required.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
