Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana is seeking a dedicated team member to maintain clean, sanitary, and attractive public and team areas. You will support guest experiences by ensuring spotless facilities, handling shift prep, cleaning machinery, restrooms, and waste disposal, and ending shifts with secure equipment and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and sanitary public and team member areas.
• Review shift schedule and prepare for operations at start of shift.
• Wipe down machinery and clean restrooms on shift.
• Pick up and dispose of trash throughout the pavilion.
• Secure equipment and complete required paperwork at shift end.
• Adhere to Indiana Gaming Regulations and SOPs.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining public and team member areas in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition.

Essential Functions

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Promptly at start of shift, review schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work, scheduled, and prepared for operations.
• Wipe down all machinery on shift by shift basis.
• Inspect and clean all restrooms.
• Pick up and dispose of paper and other rubbish left by patrons throughout the pavilion.
• Upon ending your shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork.
• Performs all other duties as assigned and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Non-essential Job Functions

• Attend seminars when needed.

Education And /Or Experience Requirements

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.)

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Knowledge Of

• Safe use of hazardous materials.
• Basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent guest service skills and communication skills.
• Janitorial duties.

Ability To

• Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Routine handling of potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals and wastes; requires strict adherence to supervisor's safety instructions and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Routine use of powered cleaning equipment.
