Job summary

Ford Field is seeking an EVS Custodian to maintain a clean and safe medical facility environment in Canton, MI. You will clean exam and procedure rooms, restrooms, and common areas to healthcare standards, supporting patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Shifts run Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–9:00 PM and Saturday–Sunday 5:00 PM–9:00 PM, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, paid weekly. Prior healthcare cleaning or EVS experience is preferred; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced medical setting.
• Experience in healthcare cleaning, EVS, or custodial/janitorial work.
• Experience in surgical, medical, or clinical environments preferred.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks during shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of clinical areas, including exam rooms, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
• Safely clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas per healthcare protocols.
• Handle and dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps and biohazard materials.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
• Perform floor care tasks: mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, spot cleaning.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport to disposal areas.

This role supports patient care by ensuring all areas—including exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces—are cleaned to healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.

Pay rate:$16.00 per hour/ paid weekly

Location:Canton, MI48187

Shifts Available:

• Monday-Friday| 5:00 PM-9:00 PM


• Saturday-Sunday | 5:00 PM-9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of clinical areas, including exam rooms, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.

Experience:

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.

• Must pass required background checks.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
