Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Hospital Environmental Services manager in Chicago to lead frontline teams on a 3rd shift, 10:30pm–7:30am, with rotating weekends. You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance across the unit.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills, including performance evaluations and corrective actions, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have Hospital Environmental Services management experience.
• Prior leadership experience in a unionized healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Education requirement: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• Management experience: 0-3 years
• Related experience: 0-3 years

Responsibilities

• Oversee frontline teams to deliver clean, safe, and compliant environments.
• Manage daily operations, guide team development, and evaluate performance.
• Make pay, hire/fire decisions, and drive corrective action and performance improvement.
