Job summary

Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an EVS Attendant to clean public and office areas on a varied shift schedule. This full-time role follows a preset cleaning plan across designated areas, with focus on guest safety and equipment care.

Experience in cleaning, janitorial, or hotel housekeeping is preferred; general knowledge of cleaning chemicals helps. Strong English communication is expected to coordinate with the team and report issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned sections and surfaces including glass, ceramic, vinyl, wood and metal.
• Empty trash receptacles and clean interiors.
• Follow cycle cleaning procedures and inspect assigned areas.
• Polish floors and remove trash; vacuum assigned sections.
• Ensure equipment is stored safely to prevent damage or loss.
• Monitor guest safety and ensure equipment is not left unsafe.
• Wet/dry cleaning of entryways and surrounding areas.
• Report mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Keep restrooms stocked with paper products.
• Dust and wipe signs, walls, furniture, and fixtures.

Job Title: EVS ATTENDANT

Reports To: EVS Shift Supervisor

Summary: Cleans public and office areas of casino following a preset schedule. The facility is divided into cleaning areas or sections and job assignments are made based on those areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned section: Dusts and cleans glass, ceramic, vinyl, wood and metal surfaces and fixtures and slot machines as outlined in section assignments.
• Empties trash receptacles and cleans inside of receptacles as needed.
• Follows cycle cleaning procedures. Polices assigned area.
• Polices the floor or other area assigned and pick up all trash.
• Vacuum assigned sections.
• Cleans entryways, and surrounding areas.
• Responsible for equipment, so as to protect it from damage and store it to prevent its loss.
• Watches for guest’s safety so that equipment is not left in an unsafe matter.
• Washes windows using correct procedures.
• Disposes of trash according to the environmental method of disposal or holding in specific containers for pick-up.
• Posts safety signs required for the safety of guests and employees.
• Reports all defective equipment to supervisor.
• Is responsible for the safe storage of all cleaning utensils, containers and equipment in order to prevent damage or loss.
• Details all stainless steel, brass, wood, glass, ceramic, vinyl and metal surfaces including slot machines as outlined in section assignments.
• Cleans floor mats and washes walls as assigned.
• Cleans restrooms and keeps paper products supplied.
• Cleans vents, light fixtures and other ceiling mounted fixtures.
• Sweeps assigned area, carefully cleaning around planter boxes and other fixtures, removing trash, cigarette butts, paper, etc.
• Removes, replaces and stores all linen used by different departments.
• Dusts and wipes down all signs, walls, stools, chairs, decorative objects, counter tops, televisions and office areas.

Education And/or Experience

Prior cleaning, janitorial or hotel housekeeping experience preferred. General knowledge of cleaning chemicals is preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to get along with co-workers and develop teamwork. Must be able to work at a fast pace.

Language Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English strongly preferred.
