Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an EVS Aide to join our team!

The Environmental Services (EVS) Aide provides a clean and bacteriologically safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you will receive cleaning assignments, clean and sanitize assigned areas through performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, preparing beds, cleaning bathrooms, and collecting recycling and garbage using approved methods, chemicals, and equipment.

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Days only.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of housekeeping standards and practices normally acquired through a demonstrated ability to read, write, and remember/follow verbal or written instructions.
• Prefer but not required, high school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum and frequently walk, stand, push/pull, reach, and twist/turn.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping department is beneficial but not required.

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is the flagship of the Aspirus system that serves patients in 14 counties across northern and central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is a licensed private/not-for-profit facility with 325 beds and staffed by 350 physicians in 35 specialties. Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a Level II trauma center that provides primary, secondary, and tertiary care services as a regional referral center. Specialty referral service emphasis exists in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, and cancer. The hospital has an average daily inpatient census of 220 with approximately 15,000 admissions per year. Outpatient visits exceed 50,000 and there are also more than 24,000 annual emergency department visits.
