Job summary

ECLARO is recruiting an EVS Aide in Oak Park, IL for an 18-week assignment. The role encompasses daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and unit areas, following infection control and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates will have hospital environmental services experience, be able to follow oral and written instructions, and communicate well. The position runs on a night shift (23:00–07:30), with a pay rate of $19.33 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Capable of operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums and housekeeping carts.
• 3 months - 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops.
• Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges.
• Sanitizes patient room surfaces and bathrooms.
• Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
• Cleans equipment and notifies supervisor of repairs.
• Reports safety hazards to supervisor.
• Collects trash from patient rooms and nurses' stations.
• Cleans ancillary areas and assists with spills.

Position Overview:

• Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and all other corresponding unit areas.
• Will follow prescribed departmental cleaning standards in conjunction with infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops.
• Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges.
• Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms.
• Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
• Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair.
• Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person.
• Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses' stations, ancillary areas.
• Pulls trash outside around the grounds of the facility.Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas.
• Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported.
• Performs any other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
