Job description

Veritium is a cloud service provider with expertise in high-security and high value commercial environments. The EVP of Global Technical Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership to a distributed technology service delivery department. This role oversees a global staff providing 24x7x365 operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across all systems.

The Director will provide strategic direction for staff development, process improvement, and technology evolution while managing day-to-day operational excellence. This role is responsible for ensuring world-class service delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a global workforce, with significant collaboration and oversight of teams based in India.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology leader who excels at building high-performing teams, scaling operations from start-up to maturity, and driving business-aligned innovation.

This is a net-new role and will be responsible for scaling the team and solution quickly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop global technical teams, including 24x7 NOC, Cloud Engineering, and other operational functions.
  • Ensure KPI’s are met through 24x7x365 operational coverage and adherence to SLAs for uptime, performance, and security.
  • Develop and execute technology operations strategies that support organizational goals and ensure a stable, secure, and scalable technical environment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Partner with Sales to support sales commitments and offerings.
  • Develop and report on KPI's senior leadership.
Operations & Service Delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end support operations, ensuring high availability of critical systems and exceptional service quality for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement ITIL-aligned processes, operational best practices, and KPIs to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Optimize NOC operations, including ticketing workflows, automation, and user experience enhancement.
  • Ensure engineering teams deliver robust solutions for infrastructure, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments and meet Sales committed project timelines.
Strategic Development
  • Define and execute a roadmap for cloud infrastructure growth and modernization.
  • Develop strategies for automation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster professional development and succession planning for team members.
  • Manage technical certifications required to maintain and ascent key vendor requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with offshore and onshore teams, including regular in-person visits to support team alignment, performance management, and project execution.
  • Coordinate cross-region communication to ensure consistent standards, governance, and execution across all time zones.
  • Champion knowledge-sharing, documentation, and global process standardization.
  • Drive cloud adoption efforts as part of the pre-sale's effort for our cloud operations solution.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, technical management, or engineering leadership roles.
  • Experience with start-up culture and hustle.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global or offshore teams, including significant engagement with India-based operations.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies including AWS, Azure and GCP, IT service management, and modern support operations.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change, improve processes, and scale operations in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally frequently (India and others).
Preferred Skills
  • ITIL certification or experience implementing ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience in scaling start-up operational teams with globally distributed team members.
  • Strong understanding of devops, CI/CD pipelines and modern cloud management practices.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
Compensation

This role is a variable compensation with a base salary and performance-based component. Aggressive KPI’s to scale and meet sales demand will be integral to this role. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-pressure, fast-moving start-up environment where exceptional compensation is awarded based on meeting exceptional goals.
