Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a hybrid leader who will act as a senior client partner, growth driver, and capability builder. As a key member of the West Coast Senior Leadership Team, the executive will manage critical West Coast clients, lead the entertainment team, and actively pitch and win new business to drive office growth. The role is a "founder"-style position, fully empowered to build a net‑new entertainment and innovation business inside Horizon, positioning the agency as an indispensable growth partner rather than a traditional media agency.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Client, Team & New Business Leadership
    • Senior strategic lead across high‑value accounts (major studio/streamer clients); elevate relationships from transactional media buying to strategic partnerships.
    • Lead the entertainment team and large cross‑functional groups, empowering people and inspiring action toward a shared vision.
    • Actively originate opportunities, lead high‑stakes pitches, and win new business to directly grow the West Coast office.
    • Use deep media planning and strategy expertise to coach the team, evaluate work, and push back when necessary for flawless execution.
  • Innovation & Capability Building
    • Commercialize three priority innovation areas to create scalable, repeatable products:
    • Branded Content & Integrations – embed brands into film, streaming, and premium entertainment platforms.
    • Entertainment Development & Financing – establish an investment and development model to fund or co‑fund content, securing media value, inventory, and IP ownership opportunities tied to client investment.
    • Proprietary Entertainment Technology (OS Labs) – partner with OS Labs to develop and commercialize proprietary data, measurement, and tech‑enabled entertainment products.
  • Business Strategy & Operations
    • Approach client challenges from a broader business perspective, leveraging AI and tech‑driven thinking to create forward‑looking solutions.
    • Oversee portfolio performance, team structure, and delivery; ensure profitability, scalability, and operational rigor across all client and innovation initiatives.
Who You Are
  • Driver & Team Motivator – a relentless driver who excels at leading large groups and getting the best from people.
  • Deep Strategic & Planning – profound grasp of media strategy and planning to actively guide the work.
  • Tech & Product Forward – strong product experience and AI/Tech‑driven thinking to build modern, scalable solutions.
  • New Business Engine – proven track record of originating, participating in, and winning new business with strong performance and analytics knowledge.
  • Builder Mindset – self‑starter who thrives in ambiguity, operates autonomously, and acts like a business owner.
  • Entertainment Insider – deep roots and relationships across studios, streamers, and production companies.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • The Agency Lead – runs a massive studio or streamer piece of business at an agency, knows the entertainment landscape inside out, and can lead large teams while building a holistic product/growth offering.
  • Sales/Org Leader – senior sales or revenue executive who has led a broader organization or division, managed large teams, and bridges content, media, and technology to drive enterprise‑level growth.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $350,000.00 – $500,000.00 (actual base salary may vary based on skill set, experience, education, and qualifications).
  • Discretionary bonus and a comprehensive rewards package including health insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, company paid holidays, unlimited paid time off, mental health and wellness resources, pet insurance, childcare resources, identity theft insurance, fertility assistance programs, and fitness reimbursement.
