What You'll Do

As Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, you will provide strategic leadership across all financial disciplines while ensuring the organization's financial strength and long-term sustainability.

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute the bank's overall financial strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise-wide decision making.
  • Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to establish long-term financial goals and growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate strategic investments, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis to support executive decisions.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and economic indicators affecting financial performance.
  • Direct annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Analyze profitability across business lines, products, and markets.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial models and strategic projections.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend operational improvements.
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Treasury & Asset/Liability Management (ALM)
  • Oversee liquidity management and funding strategies.
  • Lead balance sheet optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor interest rate risk and capital adequacy.
  • Partner with ALCO in managing the bank's investment portfolio.
  • Develop strategies that maximize earnings while maintaining prudent risk management.
  • Evaluate funding alternatives and capital deployment opportunities.
  • Oversee all accounting operations in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls across financial reporting functions.
  • Supervise external audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Ensure accurate SEC reporting when applicable.
  • Continuously improve accounting systems and financial processes.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
  • Oversee capital planning and regulatory reporting.
  • Participate in enterprise risk management initiatives.
  • Support internal audit and compliance functions.
  • Ensure adherence to OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, CFPB, and state regulatory expectations as applicable.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance and accounting teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build succession plans for key finance positions.
  • Champion cross-functional partnerships throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for executive leadership and department managers.
What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive banking finance experience, including senior executive leadership.
  • Prior experience serving as a CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Executive, Controller, or comparable executive role within a financial institution.
  • Deep understanding of community or regional banking operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of:
    • GAAP
    • Banking regulations
    • Asset/Liability Management
    • Capital planning
    • Treasury management
    • Financial reporting
    • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Demonstrated success leading finance teams and organizational strategy.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is highly desirable.
  • Experience working directly with Boards of Directors.
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, or strategic growth initiatives.
  • Experience implementing financial technologies and process improvements.
