Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience.
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in mortgage capital markets, secondary marketing, trading or related roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in loan hedging strategies, interest rate risk management, and mortgage trading execution.
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage secondary markets, investor guidelines, and loan sale execution.
• Proven experience managing pricing strategy, profit margins, and rate structures.
• Strong understanding of lock desk operations, post-closing functions, and investor delivery processes.
• Executive-level leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Strong financial, analytical, and risk management skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with mortgage technology platforms such as Encompass LOS, Optimal Blue, and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of all Capital Markets functions, including trading, hedging, pricing, rate management, lock policies, secondary marketing, and investor delivery.
• Develop and execute comprehensive hedging and risk management strategies to mitigate risk and protect company profitability.
• Oversee daily trading activities, loan sales, and pipeline management to ensure best execution and optimal market performance.
• Establish and manage pricing strategies, profit margin targets, and rate structures across wholesale and correspondent channels.
• Direct and oversee rate lock policies, lock desk operations, and pricing governance to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Lead investor relations strategy, including building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, aggregators, warehouse banks, and funding partners.
• Oversee the Post-Closing department, ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely loan delivery, purchase clearing, and investor funding.
• Drive alignment between Capital Markets, Sales, Operations, Credit, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to ensure seamless loan flow.
• Develop capital market performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track profitability, hedge effectiveness, fallout, pull-through, and investor performance.
• Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory developments to proactively adjust strategy and positioning.
• Establish policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance, investor guideline adherence, and internal risk governance.
• Lead strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and technology improvements related to pricing engines, LOS, hedge platforms, and investor delivery systems.
• Manage vendor and platform relationships related to trading, pricing, hedging, and capital markets infrastructure.
• Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team.
