The Salvation Army Tucson is seeking a Shelter Monitor Lead in Everett, Washington, to oversee shelter operations across various shifts. This role includes managing client intakes, conducting security rounds, and ensuring safety compliance.

This position will support shelter operations across multiple shifts, including day, swing, and overnight. Shift assignments and schedules will be confirmed upon hire and may vary depending on the needs of the operation.

The Shelter Monitor Lead is responsible for completion of various assigned tasks, including, but not limited to, scheduling client intakes via telephone referral, conducting client interviews, processing guest intake data, and conducting security rounds. In addition to standard Shelter Monitor duties, the Shelter Monitor Lead serves as the shift lead and formal authority on duty, providing direction to Shelter Monitor staff and ensuring safe, consistent, and effective site operations during assigned shifts. The Shelter Monitor Lead works closely with participants of the Shelter Program and provides guidance to staff in responding to client needs, maintaining safety, and enforcing program policies, under the supervision of the Site or Program Manager.
Work is primarily conducted in a sheltered environment, with occasional outdoor duties. The indoor setting ensures a consistent and predictable work environment, free from the discomfort of inclement weather changes. However, some discomfort may be related to noise, dust, dirt, and similar factors. For the occasional outdoor tasks, please dress according to the weather forecast.
This position is located at our shelter in Everett, Washington. Upon hire, the assigned schedule will be confirmed based on operational and program needs of the shelter.
Scheduling may vary depending on the shelter operations and program coverage.

Paid Vacation:
Two weeks annually, accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions.
Four weeks annually, accruing from day one, for exempt positions.
Accrued vacation is eligible for use after six months’ service time.
Paid Holidays: 13 designated holidays + 1 floating holiday per year
