Evident Change is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to lead complex development efforts for web-based applications. You will influence technical architecture, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, secure, high-performing systems.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and focus on continuous improvement are essential in this role. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5–8 years in full-stack development, and strong Ruby on Rails experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.
• Experience developing full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails is required.
• Familiarity with Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus); Tailwind CSS; PostgreSQL; RSpec and FactoryBot (for testing).
• Advanced experience with Git, including code review workflows and CI/CD integration.
• Advanced SQL optimization and data modeling skills.
• Experience designing and building APIs and scalable systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor other engineers.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

We seek a senior full-stack software engineer to lead complex development efforts for our web-based applications that support social service system reporting and analysis using Ruby on Rails. In this role, you will influence technical architecture, mentor engineers, and ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and high performing. Our Compensation and Benefit Offerings

The national average salary for this position ranges between $108,500 and $115,000 per year. Compensation within this range is dependent on experience, parity with peers, and where an employee lives.
