Job summary

City of Asheville Police Department seeks an Evidence & Property Technician to preserve and store all evidence and property in the evidence room. You will assist the Evidence and Property Manager with inventory, supplies, and preparations for auctions of seized items.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or forensic science and at least one year in inventory management, plus a NC driver’s license. On-site position with daily data entry and records management duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, or related field required.
• One year of inventory management experience or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and catalog evidence and property accurately.
• Maintain chain of custody and secure transport as needed.
