An established industry player is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team focused on evictions. This role involves managing a caseload, attending court hearings, and preparing legal documentation. Job Summary:
This Associate Attorney position will report directly to the Managing Partner of Evictions and the firm’s National Eviction Outsourcing Platform. The attorney will work alongside the evictions’ support staff and carry their own caseload across the State of California. The ideal candidate has been licensed in California for close to - or more than – five years – and is comfortable with Court hearings and motion practice. Experience with jury trials and additional licensing in Oregon and Washington is a significant plus. Other candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Plaintiff or Defense-Side eviction law, or other related experience representing landlords, tenants, creditors and/or loan servicers is encouraged to apply for consideration.
In this position you will need to possess the willingness to work in a team as well as the ability to be self-driven and work independently whenever needed. You will need to proactively stay abreast of the laws, ordinances, and general legal landscape affecting landlord and tenants’ rights in the State of California (and possibly Oregon and Washington). The individual in this role must take ownership of their assignment and work product. Direct communication with clients is expected and required. This position will be based out of our office in Long Beach, CA, or there is opportunity for a hybrid schedule or a remote assignment, if preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal office working conditions, remote work is possible. The noise level in the office work environment is quiet to moderate.
