Job summary

This Events & Student Outreach Coordinator will own behind-the-scenes event logistics, drive lead follow-up, and help students discover job opportunities with our student loan repayment benefits.

You’ll plan events, manage calendars, ship materials, and perform outreach via phone and email to students.

Qualifications

What We Need

Events are where we meet students and school partners face to face, and you’ll be the person who makes every one of them run smoothly. You’ll own the behind-the-scenes work that makes an event a success, from event selection and registration to shipping and calendar management, and making sure every lead we collect gets a timely, thoughtful follow-up. You’ll also pick up the phone and write to students directly, turning event momentum into real conversations about how Clasp can help them find a job with student loan repayment benefits. What You’ll Do

• Research and identify events to attend, coordinating sponsorship, exhibition, and presentation opportunities based on ROI

• Plan, coordinate, and manage team events from start to finish, including timelines, registration, travel and booth logistics, and budget tracking

• Manage the team’s event calendar and keep everyone aligned on dates, owners, and deadlines

• Ship event materials and order swag on time and on budget

• Work with external vendors, sponsors, and event organizers, and represent Clasp professionally in every interaction, responding and following up in a timely manner

• Capture and log leads from events and make sure each one is followed up on promptly; write and share event recaps covering attendance, leads, takeaways, and next steps

• Run bulk marketing email and SMS outreach to our student database

• Build and improve checklists and processes so every event is repeatable and maximizes ROI; track event and outreach results and work to improve conversion from event leads to applications

• Travel to conferences and events to represent Clasp, and to team gatherings and company offsites

• Conduct direct outreach to students, making up to 50 student calls per week plus personal email outreach

What You’ll Need

• Experience coordinating events with multi-step logistics including vendor relationships, travel, and budget management

• Comfort making outbound phone calls and writing clear, professional emails

• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through

• Polished, professional communication, with the judgment to represent Clasp well with vendors, partners, and students, and the discipline to follow up quickly

• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment in the EST or CST time zone

• Willingness and ability to travel for conferences, events, team gatherings, and company offsites

• Experience with HubSpot, Notion, and Claude preferred, or comparable CRM, workspace, and AI tools

• A genuine interest in education access and working with students

• A plus: experience in field marketing, admissions, campus programming, or business development

Salary

The salary range for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and industry knowledge, ranging between $75,000 - $85,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, we offer an attractive equity component as part of our compensation package, providing an opportunity for eligible employees to share in the success and growth of our company. Working at Clasp

Clasp is moving to a remote-first model in 2027. We've built our tools and norms to support flexible, focused work wherever you do your best thinking. To keep collaboration real-time, we hire team members based in the Eastern and Central time zones. Remote-first doesn't mean remote-only. We invest in intentional in-person time to strengthen relationships and stay connected to our mission. Team members should expect company-paid travel up to seven times per year, typically two to four days at a time, for team and company-wide gatherings, in addition to any role-specific travel.
