Reporting to: Director of Events & Event Manager
Summary of Position:
Responsible for maintaining a comfortable atmosphere and high level of service to all guests in event attendance. To assist with all aspects of service during the event shift and in preparation of it, to ensure the highest standards of quality in food and drink are served. Supporting the management team as needed.
Summary of Essential Functions:
- Uphold Coyle,Forbesand all Service Standards.
- Informs and gets verbal consent of Manager for all breaks – meal break,10 minutebreak, bathroom break.
- Greetsall guests witha smile, eye-contact,enthusiasmand friendliness.
- Maintains a professional relationship with coworkers and guests.
- Maintain a positive attitude to guest requirements– Attentiveness toservice, responding positively to guest’s needs, never making the guest do work.
- Alwaysusestray for drink service and clearing of glasses.
- Serves alcoholic beverages inan appropriate mannerconsistent with company standards and state and federal regulations.
- Answersguest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.
- Does side work during non-busyhours.
- Remains present in their assigned section, scanning room, making eye-contact with guests when not doing, side work, taking orders, running drinks, communicating with kitchens
- Speaks to guests with enthusiasm at all times.
- Attend toguests during their entire eventexperience.
- Provides the highest level of servicein accordance withour standards.
- Identifiesfood and drinks accurately to all guests.
- Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
- Communicates with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Reports to work as scheduled, in uniform, well groomed, and ready to be in position.
- Maintains professional relationships with all coworkersand guests.
- Followschecklists and standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
- Constantlymonitorsevent maintenanceinassignedsection – re-filling water, wine, pro-actively offering drinks,clearing glasses, silverware, when necessary, folding napkinsand restocking plate ware and glassware.
- Maintains full knowledge of menus, drinks, recipes, and other pertinent information.
- Constantly increasing knowledge of food, beverages, and other products and services.
- Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
- Prepares work area for opening, mid-shift, or closingin accordance withcompany standards.
- Responsiblefor keeping track of event beverage consumption.
- Complete all check out reports at the end of each shift and have it double checked and signed by management.
- Reset event spaceaccording to specifications of restaurant, drawing room, bar or roof.
- Set up and break downgarden patio,lobbyand hotel bar tables.
- Restock and polish silverware, plates and/or glassware as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Summary of Job Requirements:
- 18+ years of age.
- Strong communicationand people skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast pacedenvironment.
- Tipscertified.
Summary of Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Mustbe able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Fast paced movementsare required togo from one part of thefacilitytoothers.
- Must be able to move, pull,carryor lift at least 30 pounds.
- Kneel, bend, crouch and climb asrequired.
