Seabrook Hospitality is seeking an On-Call Event Server to support its Events team during weddings, corporate events, and private parties. You will assist with setup, service, and breakdown, delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, coordinating with the catering team, managing bar operations, and handling transactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Banquet server experience in banquet or high-volume kitchen setting preferred.
• WA Food Workers Card required (or eligible for WA card).
• Background check required prior to employment.

Job Summary:

Seabrook Hospitality's Events team is seeking an On-Call Event Server to assist with delivering exceptional service during various events and gatherings. Event Servers are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting and serving the menu offering for the event. This may also include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events, including but not limited to weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
• Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism and attention to detail, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing any inquiries or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including holding a valid Washington State Food Handler Card.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages to guests during banquet events, following recipes and proper pouring techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the side station area, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Clear tables and clean banquet room after events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
• Communicate effectively with the Events team and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Assist with bar setup and breakdown before and after events.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Protects the organization, members and guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies, including Washington State Health and Liquor Department regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience.
• Proven experience as a Banquet Server or similar role in a banquet or high-volume kitchen setting.
• WA Food Workers Card required.
• All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to stand and walk moderate distances for the entire shift.

Employment Status:

On-Call

Hourly Rate:

$18-$29/hour depending on tips and gratuity. Gratuity charges are applied to event functions offering food & beverage. All gratuity is split equally amongst all event staff.
