Job summary

Inglenook Winery is seeking fine dining servers to service food and wine at events, including pouring, presenting bottles, tray passing and guest interaction. You must be at least 21 to serve alcohol, hold a California Food Handler and a California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, and be able to work indoors and outdoors, including late nights.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Wage is $30-$33 per hour, with no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Summary: We are looking for fine dining servers to serve food and wine at Inglenook Winery during events. One should be able to pour, serve, tray pass food and wine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Tray Passing abilities
  • o Should be proficient in tray passing wine (flutes and stemmed wine glasses) for extended periods of time.
  • o Must be able to tray pass hors d’oeuvres and understand the menu for allergy conflicts for extended periods of time.
  • o Should be proficient as tray passing coffee service tableside.
Pour and present wine/water
  • o Should be proficient present bottle for wine service and pour beside guests on the table as well as wine bar service.
  • o Should be proficient in pouring water tableside for seated guests.
Food Service
  • o Must be able to carry plates level from the kitchen to seated guests.
  • o Must be able to clear tables and plates with a team, using a service tray at times.
  • o Must show friendly and welcoming demeanor to guests and fellow staff.
Room Preparation and Presentation
  • o Must be able to set chairs and square table settings.
  • o Must be able to polish stemware and flatware for place settings.
  • o Must be able to follow directions on table set-up and breakdown.

Salary Range: $30 - $33

Work Environment: Works indoors and outdoors. Must be 18+ and must be able to work late nights at times.
