Job summary

The Obama Foundation is seeking a Convenings Associate (Production) to lead assigned OPC and Foundation events, translating creative direction into executable production plans. This onsite, on-campus role requires coordinating AV, branding, budgets, and timelines with partners and internal teams.

You will manage multiple events, conduct site visits, and drive consistent production standards across the Convenings portfolio at the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park, with evening/weekend

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in event production, planning, or related operations.
• Experience managing complex live event production from planning through onsite execution.
• Strong knowledge of AV, lighting, staging, rentals, scenic elements, technical production, and event branding.
• Experience managing production agencies, vendors, budgets, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of assigned OPC and Foundation convenings, managing timelines, budgets, coordination, and onsite delivery.
• Serve as the primary Convenings point of contact for production partners, managing scopes, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and onsite execution.
• Lead event production planning including AV, lighting, staging, rentals, load-in, setup, and strike.
• Coordinate with internal teams to execute event branding across signage, graphics, digital displays, and collateral.
• Translate concepts into executable production plans balancing venue requirements, budget, and attendee experience.
