EVENTS MANAGER | UPSCALE MODERN STEAKHOUSE

Midtown Manhattan, NYC | $100K+ Earning Potential

Base Salary: Mid-$80Ks + 3% Event Administrative Fee

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday | Approximately 12 PM-10 PM | 50 Hours/Week

TURN GREAT EVENTS INTO UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES!

PERSONE NYC is excited to partner with a sophisticated, high-volume modern steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan in the search for a dynamic, highly motivated, and sales-driven Events Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, upscale dining destination known for exceptional hospitality, an energetic atmosphere, and memorable private dining experiences.

We're looking for someone who loves the business of hospitality just as much as the art of it. Someone who can turn an inquiry into a booked event, build meaningful client relationships, and execute everything flawlessly from the first phone call to the final toast.

With event season already in full swing, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact!

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a hands-on, revenue-generating position for an ambitious hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant environment.

You’ll take ownership of the private dining and events business, balancing proactive sales, event planning, client communication, and flawless on-site execution.

The ideal candidate is equal parts salesperson, relationship builder, and exceptional organizer - someone who knows how to close business while delivering a polished, personalized guest experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Drive Sales & Grow the Events Business
  • Manage incoming private dining and event inquiries, responding quickly and professionally to maximize conversion.
  • Proactively generate new business through corporate relationships, repeat clients, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare proposals, negotiate event details, and confidently close bookings.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through menu upgrades, beverage packages, and additional event offerings.
  • Develop lasting relationships with corporate clients, event planners, executive assistants, and local businesses.
  • Consistently work toward sales goals and revenue targets.
Plan & Execute Exceptional Events
  • Oversee the entire event process, from initial inquiry and contract through final execution and follow-up.
  • Coordinate private dinners, corporate gatherings, celebrations, business functions, and special occasions.
  • Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, floor plans, menus, and event logistics.
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary, beverage, and FOH teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence during events, ensuring every detail is handled with care.
  • Anticipate client needs, resolve challenges quickly, and deliver memorable experiences that encourage repeat business.
Stay Organized & Own the Details
  • Manage the events calendar, client database, contracts, deposits, and event-related communications.
  • Track leads, confirmed bookings, revenue performance, and follow-up opportunities.
  • Balance multiple events and priorities without missing a detail.
  • Bring energy, urgency, creativity, and a solutions-focused mindset to every day.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Previous experience in restaurant private dining, event sales, catering sales, or hospitality event management.
  • Strong sales instincts and a proven ability to convert inquiries into confirmed business.
  • Experience in upscale, fine dining, high-volume restaurants, steakhouses, hotels, or premium hospitality venues.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A polished, professional presence and a genuine passion for guest experience.
  • Comfortable managing contracts, BEOs, event software, and sales pipelines.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, follows through, and doesn’t need constant supervision.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with restaurant leadership.
  • Ready to step into a busy events operation and contribute immediately.

Most importantly, we want someone hungry, ambitious, and motivated! Someone who enjoys selling, takes pride in hitting targets, and gets genuine satisfaction from seeing a beautifully executed event come together.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
  • Base Salary: Mid-$80,000s annually.
  • Additional Compensation: 3% event administrative fee allocation, typically generating approximately $20,000 annually.
  • Estimated Total Annual Compensation: Approximately $100,000-$105,000+, based on event volume and actual fee earnings.
  • Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, approximately 12 PM-10 PM.
  • Workweek: Approximately 50 hours.
  • Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC.
  • Position: Full-time Events Manager.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY?

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Events Manager who wants to grow their income while working with an established upscale restaurant and an active, revenue-producing events program.

You’ll step into an operation with existing demand, an exciting calendar of private events, and the opportunity to build relationships that drive meaningful results.

With a consistent Sunday-Thursday schedule, significant earning potential, and plenty of opportunity to make an immediate impact, this position offers a compelling next step for a talented hospitality sales professional.
