Position Summary
Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the position of Events Manager for College Relations.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Events Manager for the Office of College Relations is an integral team member responsible for event planning, creative thinking, and supporting the department's strategic goals. The role involves working closely with clients and team members to design and execute successful events for constituent groups and alumni. As part of a small team, the Events Manager may also assist with mailings, organizational tasks, and other projects as needed. This position reports to the Director of Annual Giving.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will take ownership of events, thrive in dynamic environments, and adapt quickly to changing plans. Key skills include detailed planning, effective communication, problem-solving, and physical activity such as lifting, walking, and bending. Maintaining a professional appearance and a positive, hospitable demeanor aligned with Belmont Abbey College's mission is essential. The candidate should be self-motivated, organized, attentive to detail, and a team player willing to assist and lead as needed.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in event planning, or equivalent education and training. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with discretion and professionalism. Flexibility and the ability to work in an office environment are also required.
