Job summary

Willow Creek Community Church seeks an Events Manager to lead planning and execution of ministry events and facility rentals across campuses. You will recruit and coach Welcome Hosts and volunteers, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and Christ-centered hospitality.

The role involves coordinating large-scale holiday events, concerts, conferences, and outreach activities with a focus on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in event management and volunteer coordination.
• Experience leading Welcome Hosts and volunteers for events.
• Ability to manage vendors, hosts, and campus operations.

Responsibilities

Willow Creek Community Church is looking for an Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of impactful ministry events and mission-aligned facility rentals across our campuses.

In this role, you'll play an important part in everything from large-scale church events on holidays and wrap-around event weekends, to hosting outside facility rentals like concerts and conferences and executing community outreach events, ensuring every guest experiences excellence and Christ-centered hospitality. You'll also recruit, coach, and lead a team of Welcome Hosts and volunteers who help make every event memorable.

What You'll Do

• Support the planning and execution of ministry events, lead out on execution of external facility rentals and maintain community partner relationships.
• Create exceptional guest experiences through intentional hospitality.
• Recruit, develop, and care for event volunteers.
• Manage, train and support campus Welcome Hosts as they make lasting first impressions at the building’s main entrance and are the eyes and ears of the Church.
• Partner with ministries and operational teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Manage event logistics, budgets, scheduling, and day-of operations.

What We Offer

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $73,000, depending on experience and education.
