Hutton Brickyards Retreat + Event Center in the Hudson River Valley is seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee planning, organization and management of retreats, weddings, and corporate events. You will work with clients to deliver professional services and manage post-event logistics to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role reports to the Director of Sales and requires strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, guest service mindset, and 1–2 years of event experience.

Event Manager

The Event Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales and is responsible for working with all clients to provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of events within the facility, monitoring the logistics of these events and all event related tasks after events are concluded. To detail all retreats, weddings, social and corporate events.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
• Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success.
• Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
• Coordinate all operations.
• Lead promotional activities for the event.
• Serve as facility contact day of event.
• Approve all aspects before the day of the event.
• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur.
• Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports.

Compensation: $65,000 to $70,000

Requirements

• This position demands a flexible schedule and is event driven; this individual must be available days, nights, holidays, weekends based on the needs of the client and Hutton Brickyards.
• Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products- Excel, Outlook.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be guest service focused and be self-motivated.
• 1-2 years of event experience preferred.
