Job summary

Sunday River is seeking an Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute our classic events and bring new ideas to the table. You will work collaboratively with departments to schedule activities, book talent, and ensure smooth execution from concept through wrap-up.

This role requires strong organization, communication, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple events and priorities. Compensation reflects hourly wage with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and running events.
• History of booking bands and other talent.
• Aptitude toward problem solving and mechanical skills.
• Flexibility to perform a variety of job tasks within a short period of time.
• Ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests, vendors, and other resort departments.
• Willingness/ability to learn new computer programs and online registration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Implement events/activities throughout the year (themed weeks, entertainment series, annual events).
• Book music for all events and coordinate with activities department managing mascots.
• Coordinate external vendors for stage, tent rental, scheduling and sound production.
• Interact with all resort departments to follow policies and process paperwork for requests.
• Reference a budget for all events and provide financial recaps post-event.
• Assist with on-hill events for the Competitions department (hand timing, finish corral setup, PA setup, scoreboard, registrations, awards).

Overview

Sunday River’s Events & Competitions team is searching for an Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute our classic events and bring new ideas to the table. From the Tough Mountain Challenge and North American Wife Carrying Championship to firework s, concerts, and culinary adventures, the Events Manager works collaboratively and efficiently to bring exciting activities to the schedule for Sunday River’s guests. This role requires strong organization, communication, creativitey, and the ability to manager mutiple events and priorities from concept through wrap-up.

Responsibilities

• Implementing events/activities throughout the year, including themed weeks, entertainment series, and annual events.


• Work with Activites department with resort mascots Eddy and Betty.


• Book music for all events.


• Work with outside vendors for stage and tent rental, scheduling, and sound production


• Interact with all departments around the resort to ensure all policies and procedures are followed, processing the correct paperwork for all requests.


• Reference a budget for all events, including financial recaps post event.


• Work with the Competitions department to assist when needed for on-hill events, including hand timing, finish corral set up, PA set up, scoreboard, registration, and awards.

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage ranges from $20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement
