Job summary

SSA Group, a leader in hospitality services, seeks a Catering & Event Operations Manager in Pittsburgh to lead logistics, planning, and execution of offsite and on-site events. You will manage client relationships, vendor coordination, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver seamless experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in catering operations or event planning, proficiency with Tripleseat, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed plans for catering events, including orders, sheets, timelines, staffing, layouts.
• Coordinate with sales to capture and execute event requirements.
• Oversee setup, execution and breakdown of events for smooth operation.
• Ensure equipment, supplies, and materials are available and functional.
• Walk spaces with Sales Team to verify readiness and address issues.
• Communicate with Sales, Culinary, and other departments to ensure flawless events.
• Create eye-catching F&B displays in collaboration with Culinary Team.
• Oversee catering product quality, inventory, and maintenance of equipment.
