Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Position Summary

Ensemble Arts is looking to hire an Events Kitchen Assistant. The role involves preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment.
  • Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen.
  • Ensure food portions and presentation meet standards.
  • Possess excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking.
  • Assist the Culinary Management team with food preparation.
  • Maintain knowledge of standard menu items.
  • Keep work environment clean, including floors and passages.
  • Clean kitchen and equipment as assigned.
  • Keep food storage areas organized and clean.
  • Assist in unloading deliveries.
Qualifications
  • Professional work ethic.
  • 2+ years of related off-premise catering/cook experience.
  • Ability to prepare and execute key components of dishes with quality and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve issues.
  • Support team members and be a team player.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy items.
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required.
