Job summary

South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation Inc. is seeking a Coordinator, Event Services to support garden events, programs, exhibits, rentals, and special projects.

This role involves transporting equipment, setting up spaces, and assisting with fabrication and installations outdoors across varying weather conditions. The position requires hands-on work, evening/weekend/holiday availability, and close collaboration with Garden departments, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential functions, including physical activities and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with event production, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, unload, and transport equipment, furniture, décor, and event materials.
• Set up and break down event spaces according to layouts and schedules.
• Assist with load-ins, load-outs, rehearsals, and room flips.
• Coordinate deliveries and transportation of materials for events.
• Support programs, exhibits, rentals, and special projects.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and work with teams to implement solutions.
