Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, on your feet, and in varying weather conditions during events.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Arizona and to nearby states for community events, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Comfortable using AI tools, with the ability to build simple AI-driven workflows or automations to support event and outreach tasks.
  • Ability to work on-site, with some weekend and holiday availability as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Snowbowl's on-mountain events from concept through post-event wrap-up.
  • Coordinate with marketing to update event details and registration information.
  • Coordinate with other departments to plan events and build staffing/run-of-show docs.
  • Manage on-site day-of operations, including vendor and staff coordination, signage, timelines, and breakdown.
  • Discuss event budgets, vendor contracts, permits, and sponsor relationships with manager.
  • Evaluate events post-completion and prepare leadership recap reports.

Job SummaryThe Events and Community Outreach Coordinator is an in-person, part-time position primarily focused on planning, setting up, and managing day-of operations for on-mountain Snowbowl events. This role also plans and executes community events in Flagstaff and beyond, and assists with broader community outreach initiatives such as partnerships and local relationship building. The Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the outside perspective of Arizona Snowbowl and supports clear, effective guest communication across social media, website, and other channels as it relates to events. This role also leverages AI tools and builds AI-driven workflows to help automate and streamline event-related tasks and projects.
