Job summary

Witham Family Hotels in Bar Harbor, Maine, is seeking a energetic Bartender to join our Events Team for seasonal, part-time work at weddings, galas, and corporate functions on site at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and Event Center.

You'll set up portable bars, mix beverages, ensure legal service, and help provide an unforgettable guest experience while collaborating with a friendly events crew.

Qualifications

• Must have Maine ServSafe Alcohol certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
• Experience bartending at events, banquets or hospitality setting preferred.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails.
• Excellent multitasking and customer service.
• Team-player with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate portable bars for weddings, banquets, and private events
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with Maine liquor laws
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the event
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Work collaboratively with the Events Team to support overall event success
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and occasional food service as needed
• Follow event timelines and communicate effectively with team leads
