Responsibilities
  • Provide backstage event support for School of Music events, including stage management and ensuring artists are ready for performance; setting chairs and music stands; clearing stage before, during, and after performance; troubleshooting issues with limited supervision.
  • Operate the production booth as a technician: record and livestream music recitals, set up microphones, and handle stage lights using School of Music equipment.
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods.
  • Wear all‑black attire for events (pants and shirt, dress, or blouse with skirt or pants).
Qualifications
  • Technical ability and knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Reliable, quick learner, self‑starter, able to think on your feet and act independently.
  • Must qualify for the federal work‑study program.
  • Must be able to work evenings Monday through Fridays and occasional weekends.
  • Some experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
