Job summary

Legends Global, owner/operator of Reliant Park in Houston, seeks a Maintenance Craftsman to join the maintenance team during events. You will perform repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks, ensuring facility systems run smoothly and safety standards are met.

Under supervision, you’ll maintain and repair building systems, document work, and assist with preventive maintenance while meeting tight event deadlines and client requirements.

Qualifications

• General techniques in painting, plumbing, carpentry, and building hardware maintenance and electrical/lighting systems.
• Shop math applicable to the building trades.
• Ability to interpret instructions, blueprints, and preventative maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tiles, door hardware repair, and basic plumbing.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and refinishing, including cleaning, sanding, and patching.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment and related tools.
• Follow building codes, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Label, store, and handle equipment and materials safely.
• Record work performed and complete required reports in a timely manner.
• Promote a safe working environment and adhere to life safety procedures.
• Work with light power-driven equipment and may enter areas with fumes or hazardous chemicals.
