Job summary

Oak View Group’s Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo seeks a Building Services Attendant to support custodial and cleaning needs before, during, and after events. The role requires flexibility for odd hours, split shifts, and holiday work, with an hourly rate of $14.00 to $15.00.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, performing general cleaning, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting guests with basic venue information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of custodial or similar role with heavy public contact.
• Ability to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work schedule will vary based on events booked.
• Fast-paced, high-pressure environment capability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to climb stairs and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment and perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing).
• Ensure rooms meet venue standards and are cleaned to expectations.
• Protect and maintain equipment; report damages or issues.
• Greet guests and provide basic event and venue information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
