Job summary

Sound Investment AV New York is seeking a Warehouse Quality Control Technician to inspect, test, and maintain audiovisual equipment for client orders. You will ensure orders leave the warehouse complete, clean, and ready for use, while supporting efficient workflows and customer service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, or quality control experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Preferred experience with professional audiovisual equipment.
  • Experience using Flex Rental Solutions or similar software.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of warehouse best practices and inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing audiovisual equipment for cleanliness, cosmetic condition, damage, and functionality.
  • Verify that all equipment, accessories, cables, hardware, and documentation are complete prior to shipment.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and repair personnel to resolve quality issues before equipment is released for client use.
  • Maintain consistent quality standards across all inventory.
  • Utilize Flex Rental Solutions to accurately scan equipment into and out of inventory.
  • Verify inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Track missing or misplaced equipment and assist in locating assets.
  • Ensure equipment is returned to proper storage locations following inspection.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Pack and unpack equipment using company standards to ensure safe transportation.
  • Meet daily production schedules and shipping deadlines.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and storage efficiency.
  • Restock warehouse consumables and operational supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Properly use material handling equipment and PPE.
  • Report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment immediately.

Warehouse Quality Control Technician
Position Summary

The Warehouse Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and presentation of Sound Investment AV's rental inventory. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, tracking, and maintaining audiovisual equipment to ensure every order leaves the warehouse complete, clean, and client-ready.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and staff, this role helps maintain high operational standards while supporting efficient warehouse workflows and exceptional customer service.

This is a seasonal, Part-Time, hourly position reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Responsibilities
Quality Control
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing audiovisual equipment for cleanliness, cosmetic condition, damage, and functionality.
  • Verify that all equipment, accessories, cables, hardware, and documentation are complete prior to shipment.
