Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Kirkland is seeking an Event Support Tech to assist the client event team with set up and break down of event spaces. You may perform light janitorial duties and assist with restocking and cleaning between events. A driver’s license is preferred and English literacy is required.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm with pay of $21.30–$22.30 per hour. SBM offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or up to one month related experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• 1 year custodial experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment, set up and break down event spaces.
• Clean and restock supplies in lobbies, conference rooms, and restrooms.
• Perform light janitorial duties and follow safety rules.
• Assist with janitorial tasks between events and restock supplies.
• Follow protocols and report to supervision.

Job Overview

The Event Support Technician will support the client event team with the set up and break down of event spaces. They will be assigned special project work (i.e. cleaning pop up desks, high dusting, deep cleaning floors, organizing closets) when not performing event tasks. May be asked to help with additional janitorial duties if needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, & tables, Straighten areas, such as lobbies, conference rooms.

• Pick up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas.

• Light Vacuuming, Dusting, Restocking supplies.

• In between events will be asked to clean drop in desktops, assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms & break rooms, damp mop floors, restroom cleaning, glass cleaning, restock and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas, clean elevators, spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets, and dust open common spaces

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stops at risk behavior of others and self.

• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.

• Take direction and respond to supervision.

• Use proper personal protective equipment.

• Present a professional appearance and conduct.

• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.

• Other duties as assigned

Education and/ or Experience

Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May be required to have a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.

• Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences.

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers.

• Know how to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

• Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as, cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.

• Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, will also require you have proof of vehicle registration and insurance.

• 1 year of custodial experience preferred

• Must be able to read and write in English.

• Bilingual preferred, not required.

Shifts and Compensation

Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

$21.30-$22.30 per hour
