Job summary

Stone Gables Estate in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking friendly event staff to support public and private functions, including weddings and The National Christmas Center collaborations. This long-term, part-time role offers hands-on work at a historic site.

You’ll help with setup and breakdown, greet guests, guide traffic, park cars, and occasionally assist with animals and petting zoos. Availability on Fridays and Saturdays and 2–3 shifts weekly are required.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays.
• Must be able to work 2-3 shifts per week.
• Must be able to work a minimum of three weekends per month.
• Interpersonal skills are a must because this position interacts with guests.

• Set up & tear down wedding venues including moving tables, chairs, linens, and emptying trash cans. Weddings are booked year round with seasonality.
• Park cars & direct traffic.
• Drive golf carts.
• Greet guests.
• Occasionally handle animals such as horses, alpacas, pigs, sheep etc.
• Set up and tear down of petting zoo.
• Other duties may be assigned.

This is a long term part-time position that will assist with Stone Gables Estate’s public and private events including The National Christmas Center. Also serves as event staff for weddings and other functions hosted at Stone Gables Estate.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up & tear down wedding venues including moving tables, chairs, linens, and emptying trash cans. Weddings are booked year round with seasonality.

• Frequently required to stand, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk, smell; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use distance vision. Subject to cleaning chemicals. May be exposed to fumes and airbourne particles.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move over 100 pounds with team assistance or equipment, work in high places.
• The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
