Job summary

Workforce Brokers LLC in the Greater Chicago Area is seeking an Recruiting & Event Manager to own the full staffing process for special events and high-volume assignments, from recruiting and scheduling through onsite execution and post-event reporting.

You will fill event and hospitality roles such as servers, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, concession workers, cashiers, ushers, captains, and supervisors, coordinating staffing plans and client communication for successful events.

Qualifications

• Experience in staffing, recruiting, or event/hospitality management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple live events under tight timelines.
• High sense of urgency, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work event hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and maintain a ready talent pool for event and hospitality roles
• Build staffing plans for each event, including overfill and backup coverage
• Schedule and communicate with staff, confirming availability and replacing no-shows quickly
• Manage onsite check-in, staff performance, and any issues that come up during the event
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after each event
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll for every event
• Maintain compliance across onboarding, background checks, certifications, and safety reporting
