Job summary

ASM Global in Las Cruces is hiring part-time Event Staff to deliver outstanding customer service at a variety of events. You will guide guests, assist with directions, and perform ushering and ticketing duties as needed.

Role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, including setup and teardown tasks and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to work individually but mostly as a team is essential.
• Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications, problem solving, and detail oriented.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and undertake multiple tasks at the same time.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able speak, read, and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.

Responsibilities

• Always providing exceptional customer service.
• Adhere to Legends Global procedures and policies.
• Assist and direct guests to appropriate destinations, e.g. concessions, restrooms, meeting rooms, etc.
• Serve as ticket seller or taker and/or usher for events requiring these services.
• Assist with last-minute pre-event needs such as setup or decorations.
• Provide special accommodation for wheelchairs and other physically disabled patrons.
• Ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants and others on premises.
• Assist in crowd control inside and outside of premises.
• Handle disturbances or problems during events or at the facility and escort disruptive individuals if needed.
• Report problems to the Event Services Manager.
• Allow only valid credentials into restricted areas and manage food/drink restrictions.
• Fill in any position as needed during events.
• Give door checks to patrons leaving establishments.
• Assist in closing of the building after events or shifts.
• Assist the Event Set Up Team to expedite set-up and teardown.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Always providing exceptional customer service

• Assist and direct guests to appropriate destinations, i.e. concessions, restrooms, meeting rooms, etc.
• Serve as ticket seller or taker and/or usher for events requiring these services.
• Assist with last-minute pre-event needs such set-up, decorating, finding materials, etc.
• Provide special accommodation for wheelchairs and other physically disabled patrons
• Ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants and others on premises
• Assist in controlling unusual circumstances and events during fire, storm, riots and other emergencies.
• Assist with crowd control inside and outside of premises.
• Handle any disturbances or problems that may arise during event or at the facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individuals to security, managers, and/or off premises
• Report any problems concerning the event to the Event Services Manager
• Responsible for allowing only valid credentials into specific areas of the building while not permitting food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages to leave certain spaces or enter the facility
• Expected to fill in any position as needed during any point of the event
• Give door checks to patrons who are temporarily leaving establishments
• Assist in the closing of the building after events or shift
• Assist the Event Set Up Team to expedite set-up and teardown events when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
