Job summary

NASCAR is seeking a Software Engineer / Database Engineer in Daytona Beach, FL or Charlotte, NC to lead full‑lifecycle development focused on SQL Server programming, .NET, and data‑driven event applications.

You will design and optimize databases, implement stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports, and build C#/.NET tools for internal users and event operations. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of related software engineering and database development experience.
• Strong understanding of core programming concepts (data structures, algorithms, design patterns, object‑oriented programming).
• Advanced skills with Microsoft SQL Server (design/optimisation, stored procedures, SSIS, SSRS).
• Hands‑on experience with .NET development (C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core).
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex database solutions including ERDs, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports.
• Design, code, and debug SQL Server databases and stored procedures to support event and business applications.
• Design, code, and debug .NET applications and tools to support internal users and event operations (C#/.NET).
• Perform software and requirements analysis, partnering with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, identify metrics, and contribute to system reliability analyses.
• Document functionality and provide support, ensuring stability and easy maintenance.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and event teams to align solutions with NASCAR standards.
