Job summary

The City of Raleigh is seeking a dedicated employee to assist with event setup, janitorial work, and maintenance at the Raleigh Convention Center. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as determined by venue events. You will clean and prepare spaces, move equipment, and assist guests to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate can adapt to varied shifts, follow safety guidelines, and work effectively in a team to support four venues under the RCPAC umbrella.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Ability to provide face-to-face customer service to facility users.
• Experience with cleaning supplies and safe chemical handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and use floor plans and event documents to set up spaces.
• Perform janitorial tasks and operate housekeeping equipment.
• Move and position tables, chairs, stages and other equipment for events.
• Tear down setups and return items to storage, reporting damage as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons and guests.
• Follow directions and maintain venue cleanliness and safety.
