Blueplatechicago is looking for an Event Porter to ensure the smooth execution of events. You will play a key role in making unforgettable experiences happen, helping with setup and breakdown tasks, and assisting guests professionally.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and knowledge of workplace safety procedures. This role requires a focus on cleanliness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time, dressed according to professional standards, and prepared to handle equipment.
• Check in with supervisor for setup and breakdown tasks.
• Unload trucks and distribute catering equipment upon arrival at the venue.
• Assist in setting up food and beverage stations.
• Maintain cleanliness of catering areas throughout the event.
• Assist guests with professionalism as needed.
• Help in the event breakdown by packing equipment and cleaning work areas.
