Position Title: Event Services Staff Student Worker
Department: Auxiliary Services
Reports To: Event Operations Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Staff play a crucial role in ensuring that setups are executed correctly. Their primary duties include setting up stages, chairs, tables, assisting guests in navigating the venue and more. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with others and possesses strong interpersonal skills. An event staff employee will be supervised by an event manager who will assign roles such as greeter, parking attendant, and more.

In addition to their job roles, event staff will likely be on their feet for the duration of the setup and event. Therefore, this position requires a certain level of energy and enthusiasm to succeed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Set up and break down of necessary chairs, tables and stages for events
• Being assigned various tasks by the event manager
• Facilitating the proper organization and cleanliness of venues
• Upholding any necessary safety precautions
• Provide high levels of customer service on and off campus
• Welcoming guests to the venue/event
• Inspecting our equipment for damage/inventory
• Maintain cleanliness of event storage closets
• Wash, fold and hang tablecloths and overlays as needed
